Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What's all this about then?

A: The site lets you check to see if a website has adult contents before you visit it through your own browser. You can see the title, description and if the site contains naughty words or phrases before you visit it.

Q: Will this save me from the web police?

A:  Not entirely but it should help. The web police at your work may maintain their own list of blocked sites for reasons other than they contain adult content. This means we may report it as having no adult content but it may still be blocked.

Q: How old is the information you store?
A: If you want to check a link that's never beeen through the site before then the information will be brand new. If you enter a link we've checked before the information we display will be no more than 15 minutes old.
Q: What does On URL Alert List mean?
A: This means we've added the url of a specific website to our watch list because it potentially contains adult content.
Q: If you show the the site as being unsafe does it mean my PC will blow up.

A: Not really. It just means that we've detected some adult content you may not neceserly want to see when you visit a site.
We're just giving you the information you need to make your own decision.

Q: I've got a site or a naughty word I think you've missed will you add it for me?
A: Send it to hello@yournotme.com and we'll check it out and add if appropriate
Q: What's the safer link all about?

If you want to send someone a link but the contents of it may contain the odd rude word and you don't want to get them in trouble at work for opening it then use this function.
We'll generate a link you can send to your friend, which will bring them here and show them a report on the contents of the link. They can then decide if they want to visit the link or not once they've seen the report.
The function also creates a nice short link, which is easier to email around.
